This summer has been FLYING by. Bar exam studying has been keeping me pretty busy, but we've managed to squeeze in some fun stuff too. So here's the breakdown of what we've been up to since graduation!
Third weekend in May - Jeff went on a guys trip to see San Antonio and go camping with some friends, and I went on a girls trip with my mom and sister to attend the Confirmation of two of my cousins. No photos on my end. Oops!
Guadalupe Peak
The Alamo
Carlsbad Caverns
Fourth weekend in May - I got to see my sweet littlest sister play her bassoon solo at a school concert, and we all watched her win a big award at her 6th grade award ceremony!
Last week in May/First week in June - we went to the Houston Symphony (my birthday gift to Jeff) and had such a great time, and then we went on a whirlwind weekend trip to Fort Worth, and visited a ton of family and friends all in one busy weekend!
Third weekend in June - we went on a weekend trip to a golf resort in Louisiana with Jeff's work. Lots of fun with friends, pretty views, and good food!
On Father's Day, we went to my parents' lake property and spent a lovely day with my parents, sister, and grandparents. More fun, food, and pretty views!
Fourth weekend in June - we went with my extended family on my dad's side and enjoyed a family summer tradition - a weekend at my aunt and uncle's lakehouse on Lake Palestine! I used the weekend as a much-needed mental break from Bar studying, and I only took one photo the entire weekend, this one:
Pretty, right?
And then this weekend, Jeff's dad finally got back from some overseas business trips and we got to have a belated Father's Day dinner with him!
Hi Whitney! I tried to e-mail you, but you had a noreply-blogger e-mail! Anyway, we LOVED it! We both like the symphony, but I tend to get a teensy bit bored about 2/3 of the way through usually, so having the movie was nice. :) They had the Houston Symphony Mens Chorus there too doing a bunch of the "ooohh aahhh" type stuff from the soundtrack, and it all just sounded really cool. They had a bunch of stuff for special effects as well - banging hammers on giant iron anvils for the sword fighting scenes, etc. I'd definitely recommend it!
Ooooh, the Phoenix Symphony is doing that show in September and I really want to go! How did you like it?
